Brand Story

The Tiny Traditions

A Maltese collectible design house born from Malta's National Christmas Tree 2025.

National Christmas Tree 2025

The collection began in Valletta.

The seven Munita designs were first created during the design process for Malta's National Christmas Tree 2025.

Made as Maltese symbols for a public national installation, they appeared among the decorations of the tree in Valletta and quickly became one of its most noticed details.

Public Response

A public installation became a conversation.

When the tree was unveiled, the designs received overwhelming public support and international attention.

People recognised something familiar in them: Maltese nature, festive memory, local craft, and the decorative language of everyday island life.

The Munita Collection

Preserving the seven symbols.

After the success of the tree, it became clear that the seven designs deserved a permanent life beyond the Christmas installation.

The Tiny Traditions was founded to transform those symbols into collectible pieces that could be displayed, gifted, collected, and lived with throughout the year.

From Installation to Object

From national moment to collectible design.

The collection carries the memory of a public Maltese landmark into private interiors, hospitality spaces, and personal collections.

Each piece keeps its connection to the original tree while becoming something more permanent: a design object with a place in Maltese homes and cultural spaces.

Craft and Materiality

Lava stone, limestone light, hand-painted detail.

The language of the collection sits between lava stone table tops, hand-painted plates, Mediterranean interiors, Maltese limestone, and collectible craftsmanship.

Each work is designed to feel tactile and permanent, with decorative borders, symbolic imagery, and the presence of a heritage object.

Objects for display, gifting, and gathering.

The pieces are not sealed away from life. They are made for homes, terraces, hotels, restaurants, retail spaces, and private collections.
